How Affiliate Links Work

Some of the product links on this site are "affiliate links." That means if you click on the link and purchase the item, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or navigate to the retailer directly. These commissions help fund the independent product testing, research, and editorial work that makes this publication possible.

Programs We Participate In

Pure Technical Beauty participates in select affiliate networks and brand-direct affiliate programs operated by clean beauty, skincare, and hair care companies whose products we have independently reviewed. As new partnerships are established, this disclosure will be updated to reflect them. Where a specific link is affiliate-tracked, we will identify it as such within the article in which it appears.

Our Editorial Promise

Affiliate revenue does not influence what we cover or how we write about it. Specifically:

• We are not paid for opinions. No brand pays Pure Technical Beauty to publish a positive review, omit a negative one, or feature a product.
• We do not accept "gifted" reviews in exchange for guaranteed coverage. When a brand sends a product without conditions, we will disclose that fact in the relevant article. Receiving a product never guarantees a review or a favorable one.
• We recommend products we use. Every product we recommend has been used by someone on this team for a meaningful length of time. If we wouldn't repurchase it ourselves, it doesn't appear in our recommendations.
• We disclose conflicts. If we ever have a financial relationship with a brand beyond a standard affiliate commission, that relationship will be disclosed prominently in the relevant article.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR § 255 — the Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. We comply with the FTC's requirement that material connections between endorsers and sellers be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.
